We currently advise all students to take a 2 hour lesson. As road conditions have got busier and the driving test longer and more difficult, 1 hour lessons are not long enough to gain the relevent driving experience. This means that the average pupil will have to take more lessons over a longer time period than would be necessary if they concentrated their efforts in taking longer lessons over a shorter time. In our experience it is more cost effective for the student to take at least a two hour lesson (more if they can afford it) per week and thus gain confidence and experience in several months rather than a year which has now become normal.
